I’ve been published. In a magazine. A running magazine. Yes, I’m excited.

There is a beautiful print magazine that is headquartered in the UK called: Like The Wind. As their website puts it: “There are personal anecdotes, inspirational tales, reportage, beautiful illustrations and stunning photography.”
It truly is an extraordinary coffee table type magazine, lush with illustrations and stories about runners written by runners. You cannot simply go on-line to read the articles. This is a proper magazine that you must buy and then you keep forever, because of the quality and collectability. This is a huge hint for my 1,209 blog followers to order a copy from the Like The Wind website, which you can link to here. Yes, I know this is a big ask, but I’d appreciate the support and if you’re a runner you’ll love the magazine regardless. It would also make THE perfect gift for that runner in your life.
Because Like the Wind is a good old ink-and-paper title, there are a limited number of copies. When they are gone, they’re gone forever. Furthermore, the magazine is skill-fully printed on uncoated FSC accredited paper. They care at least as much for the planet as they do for running on its surface.
I’m in issue 13, writing about my Four Leaf Rover and how he helped me to stop being miserable about getting cancer, for a few moments anyway…..
My piece is a small part of a larger feature about running with dogs, but it is a dream come true to be actually published in a proper magazine.

I want to thank those of you that have sent me PM’s, well wishes and congratulatory notes. I also love the encouragement I get AND, as always, thank you to all of those that read this little blog of mine. I have not posted in awhile, but that’s because I’ve been working on other projects. That will change this month. I have started getting opinions again and I must share…..
Love to all of you..

Thanks! I’ve been enjoying your posts on alcoholism. I know, it looks weird when I read what I just wrote. It’s not a particularly joyful subject, but I know for a fact that you’re helping people. I’ve turned a few people on to your blog that need to read what you have to write….
